From the very first year that he was here you could say that he was on the "Brink" of success. Bill's first year as a Trojan he was named Most Improved Player in Basketball. By the following year he was the top rebounder with 296, as well as the top scorer with 575 points. For this he was named the Most Valuable Player for MATC. In that same campaign he made the Wisconsin Technical College Conference All-Star second team, and the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association first team. He also made the NJCAA Region XIII All-Tournament Team. His MATC Coach Jack Brenegan said of Bill, "He was a tremendous rebounder, especially offensively, with an uncanny ability to score around the basket. It was really gratifying to watch Bill grow as a person from his time at MATC to the present."
For these basketball efforts, Bill was able to continue his education in accounting at Mary College in Bismarck, North Dakota where he graduated in 1985. From there, Bill's success continued as he accepted a position as an accountant for Dean Medical Center in 1986. That year he also married his wife Kathy. They now have two boys, Preston and Spencer. In 1990 the Dean Foundation promoted Bill to the Director of Operations, then in 1991 to Executive Director, and finally to President in 1992. For these efforts Bill was named to the "Who's Who Among Rising Young Businessmen". He has also received a Master's degree in Business Administration from Edgewood College. He has been a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Blackhawk Country Club.
