William Bull found his way to Madison in 1983 following a prep career at Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kansas. Bill was a three sport stand-out in high school as he was captain of his basketball and tennis teams, as well as a participant in cross-country.

During his two-year basketball career at MATC, Bill scored a total of 491 points. 1985 was his breakthrough season as he earned team MVP honors and led the team in field goal percentage, free-throw attempts, free-throws made, and assists. He also made the All- Tournament teams for the UW-Richland Tournament as well as the NJCAA Region  tournament where he set a region free-throw record which still stands today by going 17-17.

Bill's MATC tennis career saw him capture Conference championships in 1984 and 1985 and the State doubles championship in 1984. He was the Regional runner-up in 1985, as well as the team MVP. Bill was voted team captain of both his 1984 and 1985 tennis teams.

Bill went on to the UW-Madison, where he earned a bachelors Degree in Recreation before heading to Northeast Louisiana for his Masters in Exercise Science. Bill has been the Commercial Sales Manager at Fitness Equipment and works with MATC on a regular basis to help improve and update the workout facilities. Bill lives in Middleton with his wife, Karalee, and their son Billy, Jr.

Former basketball coach and Athletic Director Jack Brenegan had this to say about Bill, "Bill was a strong leader and for him the team always came first, but as an individual he was one of the hardest working players I ever coached. He literally made himself into an excellent college player through his dedication. When Bill sets his mind to do something, he gets it done."
