James Teideman graduated from Waunakee High School. At Waunakee, Jim lettered in football, wrestling, and track. In track he was the team captain and in wrestling he was named All-Conference and became the Wisconsin State freestyle champion in 1977.
In the fall of 1980, Jim enrolled at MATC. He was a two-year letter winner in wrestling and led the team in takedowns, reversals, and consecutive victories. He was a two-time WTCC conference champion, the MATC Outstanding Wrestler and National qualifier in 1981, and team captain in 1982. Jim graduated from the Hotel/Motel Management Program in the spring of 1982.
Jim has been employed by Madison Newspapers, Inc. as a District Sales Manager. From 1984-1986 Jim was the assistant wrestling coach at MATC and in 1986 was named head coach, a position he held for five years. Jim, a resident of Waunakee, WI, is also an active member of the MATC Athletic Alumni Association and other community organizations.
