Edgar Gerald Anderson attended MATC on a full and part-time basis from 1969-74 and participated in varsity golf, tennis, and bowling. He was a member of the #3 double tennis championship team, placed third in the MATC golf tournament, and was the MVP of the WTCC Conference Championship bowling team in 1970-71. In that year he had the highest average of 205 with high games of 256, 247 and 246 and high series of 680. Jerry led the 1970-71 and 1971-72 teams to league championships.

He was also a member of the Student Senate, School Safety Committee, and was the intramural table tennis champion in 1971, 1972, and 1973. In May of 1974, he received his associate degree in Fire Science and became coordinator of the Madison Arson Squad in 1979. From 1980-82, he was a member of the mayor's Madison Area Arson Task Force and since 1981 has been a member of the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms National Response Team for arson fires.

He also coached the men's and women's bowling teams from 1975-79 and assisted with the fire science instruction at MATC.

He and his wife, Glenda, have 4 children, Pamela who was in the Navy, Lisa, a graduate of the MATC LPN Program, and Mark and Michelle, who went to La Follette High School.
