Lisa Meier (formerly Lisa Burnside), is a 1978 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High School in Stevens Point. At SPASH, Lisa was a three sport letter winner in Volleyball, Track and Cross Country. She was member of a state tournament team in volleyball and also cross country.
At MATC, Lisa participated in cross country in 1979 where she ran against all male competition until 1981, when she was the leader of the first MATC women’s cross country team. In 1981 she was the WTCC conference and WJCAA state champion and named to the NJCAA All-Region XIII Team. Lisa was national qualifier in both 1979 and 1981. In 1979 she finished 34th in the National Tournament, only 18 seconds from winning All-American honors.
Lisa has been employed by Employers Health as a Quality Analyst. A Waunakee, WI resident, Meier has been a member of the Springfield Jaycees and continues to be very active in running.
