Larry Schmitz, a graduate of Ithaca High School, lettered in football, wrestling and track all four years and was named the Outstanding Athlete in football and wrestling in his senior year.
Larry began at MATC in the fall of 1980 and graduated in 1982 with a Computer Programming degree. He participated and lettered in wrestling both years and in 1982 was named the Outstanding Wrestler. Larry owned and operated, a truck repair business called Madison Spring Company based out of Monona, WI. Even with all of these commitments, Larry and his wife Carolyn found time and energy to devote to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program of Dane County.
