Hall of Fame
Toni Johnson is a 1977 graduate of Madison La Follette High School. She attended MATC from 1977-1979 in the Liberal Studies Program. At MATC, she competed on the volleyball, basketball and softball teams for two seasons and on the tennis team one season. In volleyball she was named team MVP and a WTCC All-Conference player both years, and in her second year was a WJCAA All-State Tourney selection.
In softball, she was elected team MVP her second year, and in tennis she was the 1979 WJCAA All State #5 singles champion and #1 doubles runner-up. In 1979, Johnson transferred to UW-La Crosse where she completed an Art and Therapeutic Recreation double major in 1982.
She has been employed with Orchard Hill RFDF as a recreation therapist. Johnson also attended UW-Madison part time in the field of Pre-Occupational Therapy. Toni has been a strong supporter of MATC athletic alumni functions. She has also been involved in her community as a coach of Special Olympics in bowling and track.
