Gary R. Borgrud, a 1970 graduate of Deerfield High School, was a Liberal Studies student while attending MATC during the 1972-73 and 1973-74 school years. He was a member of the varsity basketball team and showed strong team leadership and was selected captain for the 1973-74 team.
Gary was extremely active as a member of the Deerfield community. He was the President of the men's and women's softball league, which he started for the Deerfield Community. Gary was also a member of the Lion's Club from 1977-81 and was the Club president in 1979.
Gary was a foreman at Dale Schmidt Construction Company, but has since moved on. Gary is now the principal owner of Gb Builders LLC in Deerfield, WI, a construction company he founded in 2003. He and his wife Sheila have three children: Chad, Jodi and Chelsea.
