Jill Hannawell was a three sport star at Janesville Parker High School, where she played volleyball, basketball and softball. At MATC, Jill was a two sport athlete, participating in basketball and softball. Some of her honors in basketball include: leading scorer, assist leader, captain, most valuable player, All-Conference, All-State, State Junior College Player of the Year and the Golden Glove winner in softball. In 1982, Jill was honored as the District Board Sportsperson of the Year.

Jill is a 1982 graduate of the Medical Lab Technician Program, graduating with honors and a 3.7 grade point average. Jill continued her education at the University of Wisconsin where she graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a certificate in Adapted Physical Education. At the University, Jill received the Palmer-Tarbell Award and the Helen Pfunderer-Smith scholarship. She was a finalist for the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health Scholarship and she has received two sports training scholarships.
