Evan Wartgow, former Fort Atkinson student-athlete, finished tied for second at the 2011 NJCAA Division III National Championship at the Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, New York. Wartgow finished with a four day total of 298 which was ten over for the tournament.
Wartgow jumped into the lead after the second day when he shot a par 72 to follow up on his two over par 74 opening round. Over the next two days, Wartgow shot a pair of 76's which placed him tied for second in the tournament with Blake Harpenau from Cincinnati State. Alex McKee from Monroe Community College was this year's champion with a nine over par, 297, just one shot better than Wartgow.
Monroe Community College won the team title as they outscored North Central Community College Conference (N4C) member, Rock Valley College, by 11 strokes, shooting a four day total of 1216.
