Freshman Jacobson leads WolfPack at two-day event

HUDSON, WISC. - Madison College was not ony the lone junior college program competing in the Maverick Fall Brawl, hosted by Minnesota State University-Mankato at Troy Burne Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, they were also the only non-NCAA Division II team in the 12-school tournament. The WolfPack finished 12th with a two-day total of 629, which included a season-best 312 team score in round two. Freshman Kellan Jacobson led the team with a tie for 52nd place overall.

Madison College opened the tournament with a 317 on the opening 18 holes, and sat just two strokes back of the University of Jamestown (ND). Despite a five shot improvement over the final 18 holes, the WolfPack was unable to make up any ground and finished 12th by eight shots. Winona State University (MN) took the team title with a 555 two-day total.
