Haggart completes WolfPack career at NJCAA Championships

Sophomore finishes tied for 92nd after four rounds in Indiana

PLYMOUTH, IND. - Madison College's Matthew Haggart finished his two-year stint with the WolfPack by competing at the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships on Friday at Swan Lake Resort. The sophomore tied for 92nd overall with a 72-hole total of 317. 

Haggart, a native of Minocqua, Wisconsin, opened the tournament with six-over-par 78 to sit tied for 85th after recording one birdie and 11 pars. Wednesday's second round was a grind for Haggart, who logged two birdies and five pars en route to an 85 (+13) as he dropped to a tie at 106th.



The final two rounds represented a return to solid golf for Haggart, as he signed off on rounds of three-over 75 and seven-over 79. Thursday saw a total of 12 pars and two birdies as he jumped 17 spots to 90th in the field of 115. The final round accumulated 11 pars , seven of which came on the final nine holes of his collegiate career.

Murray State College won the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf team title, led by individual champion Connor Tallentire with final tally of one-under par 287.
