SHEBOYGAN FALLS & SAUKVILLE, WISC. - The Madison College golf team took sixth place at the BSC Legends Classic, hosted by Bryant & Stratton College, on Thursday and Friday to wrap up the 2024-25 regular season schedule. The WolfPack, who sat in fourth place after Round 1 at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms, turned in a team-total of 665. Sophomore
Peter Gustafson improved by nine strokes in Round 2 at The Bog to earn a Top-5 finish.
Madison College was in fourth place after the opening 18 holes with a 328, but posted a 338 team score on Friday to fall two spots. NCAA Division III Milwaukee School of Engineering won the tournament with a 625 score to best second place and host Bobcats by seven.
Gustafson, a Monticello, Wisconsin, native, signed off on an 11-over-par 83 Thursday and was tied for 17th place. By the end of Round 2, he had jumped up to fifth place with a season-low, two-over 74. His 157 (+13) was seven shots back of individual champion Max Oberweis-Manion of MSOE.
Meanwhile, freshman
Roberto Reyes earned a Top-20 finish despite sitting tied for fourth after the opening 18. The native of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, turned in scores of seven-over 79 and 88 (+16) to tie for 20th overall at 167 (+23).Â
Second year
Alex Sutter followed suit with a tie for 25th at 171 (+27). Sutter's nine-over-par 81 had him tied for tenth until carding a 91 (+19) on Friday. First year
Matthew Haggart also tied for 25th with a two-day total of 171 after more consistent rounds of 86-85.Â
Brady Piazza shot an 85 (+13) in Round 1, but was unable to compete the following day.

Madison College, a NJCAA Division II Golf Championships qualifier last spring, plays for a repeat trip at the 2025 Region 4 Division II Tournament at PrairieView Golf Club in Byron, Illinois. Play begins with Round 1 on Sunday and carries through two more rounds on Monday and Tuesday. Tee times begin at 9:00 a.m. for the opening day, with the WolfPack to get underway at 10:30 a.m.
