Three members of the Madison College women's volleyball team earned postseason recognition on the All-Region 4 teams, with one player earning the region's top honor. Freshman
Allie Andrews was named the Region 4 Division II District A Player of the Year as the top vote-getter, and was joined on the first team by fellow first year
Sam Schultz. Sophomore
Avery Agnew received second team accolades, while head coach
Mallory Stone was named the Region 4 Coach of the Year after claiming the program's first region title under her direction. It is the first such honor for all four.
Andrews becomes the fourth player in program history and the first since 2014 to earn Region 4 Player of the Year. The setter and right side hitter established a new single-season school record with 1,180 assists, becoming the tenth player in program history to reach the 1,000-assist plateau. Her 9.22 assists per set ranked second in all of Region 4. The Darlington, Wisconsin, native, also delivered 131 kills, 49 aces, 286 digs, and 37.0 blocks as an all-around player. Andrews finished the season with a 11 double-doubles and one triple-double as she racked up 12 kills, 34 assists, and 12 digs against the College of DuPage on August 26. She twice went over the 50-assists mark in a match this season, doing so on back-to-back days against eventual national tournament teams at the Iowa Central Tournament in early-September as she put up 55 assists against Neosho County Community College and then 52 against the host Tritons.
Schultz arrived on campus ready to contribute as a defensive specialist; however, she quickly proved she had tremendous value throughout an entire rotation. One of three players to surpass 300 kills, the 5'6" native of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, terminated 347 kills, which as the sixth best single season in team history. Schultz was also second on the team in digs and aces, as her 432 digs ranks as the 11th best single-season mark and her 74 aces tie for third most in one year. She established career bests of 17 kills against Lakeland University JV on September 16, and eight aces and 27 digs against Highland Community College on October 24. Schultz, who posted three double-doubles this season, also added 17.0 blocks and 20 assists.
Agnew, a transfer to Madison College, was one of three players to break a single-season record in 2025, tracking down 676 digs to surpass the previous program best by more than 40. That number also ranks the Milton, Wisconsin, native, ninth on the all-time digs list, as well as third in all of Region 4. On four separate occasions, Agnew reached or surpassed the 30-digs mark, highlighted by 34 digs against Sauk Valley Community College on October 10 and again five days later against Milwaukee Area Technical College. Agnew also proved to be an offensive weapon from the service line, as her 61 aces were third on the team and rank as the 14th best mark in a season. When the ball was in play, Agnew helped out with 74 assists.
"We're incredibly proud of our three All-Region selections," stated Stone. "Allie's consistency and her ability to run a dynamic, efficient offense have been a driving force for us all season. Avery, one of our captains, set the tone every day with her exceptional ball control and steady leadership. And Sam's all-around play, highlighted by her high-level serve receive and aggressive serving, has been a huge part of our success. What makes this group so special is that truly several of our starters could have earned these honors. This group's success was built on trust, depth, and a full-team commitment to raising our standard every single day. These awards reflect the work of the entire roster. Still, we're especially excited for Allie, Avery, and Sam for being recognized. They've each elevated our team in their own way, brought teammates along with them, and truly embody what Madison College Volleyball is all about and where we will continue to go."
