JANESVILLE, WISC. - Despite being the only two-year program in the field, the Madison College golf team held its own at the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday at
Glen Erin Golf Club. The WolfPack posted a 316 team score to finish tenth overall after rains cut short Round 2 and forced tournament organizers to make the Round 1 results final. The team's best 18-hole score so far this season was 15 shots back of team champion Carthage College at 301.
The team total was two shots behind Lake Forest College and MSOE for a tie of eighth, and sat one stroke better than the Edgewood "B" team at 317.
Sophomore
Matt Paulson placed in a tie for 16th with an opening day five-over 76. The Mukwonago, Wisconisin, native, rebounded from rounds of 81 and 85 at the season-opening Highland "36" one week prior to collect a pair of birdies and ten pars. Tournament medalist Evan Bridges of Carroll University carded an even-par 71.
Freshman transfer
