WolfPack suffer fourth straight loss heading into season finale

Madison College unable to generate offense against Rock Valley College

ROCKFORD, ILL. - The Madison College men's soccer team suffered its fourth consecutive setback on Saturday with a 1-0 road loss at the hands of Rock Valley College in a North Central Community College Conference and Region IV match. The defeat also snaps an eight match win streak against the Golden Eagles, and prevents the WolfPack from earning a fourth straight regular season sweep after taking a 1-0 decision over RVC in Madison last month. The 'Pack leads the head-to-head series by a 10-3-1 tally.

Madison College was held without a goal in back-to-back games for the first time since going scoreless in three straight to open the season. The WolfPack was able to fire off six total shots, with two being put on goal. Freshmen Samuka Toure and Pablo Guzman each had a shot on goal, but neither could get past the Golden Eagles goalkeeper.

Rock Valley College (6-7-1, 4-6) countered with 14 total shots, including 11 in the first half, and six shots on goal. WolfPack sophomore 'keeper Saxon LaFlash made six saves, however, he allowed the match's lone goal in the 29'.

Madison College, Rock Valley College, and Joliet Junior College are jockeying for seeds three through five in the upcoming Region IV Division III Tournament as teams head into the final week of the regular season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
