WEST DUNDEE, ILL. - The Madison College golf team was a player short on Monday as they competed with 15 other collegiate programs at the Judson University Spring Invite at Randall Oaks Golf Club. The WolfPack placed 14th with a 354 team total that was two strokes better than their spring opener 13 days prior. 

Jake Rebholz, a native of Verona, Wisconsin, was tops on the team with a ten-over-par 81 that placed him in a three-way tie for 27th overall. He opened with a one-over 37 on the front, recording a trio of birdies, but was only able to drop in one birdie on the back nine. Rebholz finished 11 shots back of tournament medalist Erik Hopp of Carroll University. The 81 ties for his fourth-best score during the entire 2021-22 campaign.

Fellow freshmen Tyler Dahl and Nicholas Kipp posted matching 87s to finish 16-over-par and tied for 59th overall. Kipp finished with nine pars, including six on the back nine, and Dahl had eight pars with five coming on the outward nine. 

Rounding out the scoring for Madison College was first year Darris Schuett with a 99 (+28).

The WolfPack ended the day 13 shots back of North Park University (C), and one stroke better than Marian University (B). Wisconsin Lutheran College was able to take the team title with a 307.

Madison College is scheduled for a pair of multi-team events during the upcoming weekend, both hosted by four-year programs. The WolfPack will travel to White Deer Run Golf Club in Vernon Hills, Illinois, for the Forester Spring Invite hosted by Lake Forest College on Friday, April 15, and then play their first in-state tournament on Saturday, April 16 with the WLC Spring Invitational at Morningstar Golfers Club in Waukesha, Wisconsin, which is hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College. Friday's tee times will begin at 9:00 a.m., while Saturday will be a 1:00 p.m. start.
