GALENA, ILL. - For the second consecutive tournament, the Madison College men's golf team held their own against a playing field of mostly four-year schools as they placed sixth out of 12 teams at the Clarke University Fall Invitational played at
Eagle Ridge Resort - South Course on Tuesday. Freshman
Ben Busick continued his momentum from Saturday's season-best round to post a six-over-par 78 and finish in a tie for sixth.
The WolfPack registered a team total of 332 to sit six shots back of the host Pride and beat St. Ambrose University C by one. The University of Dubuque won the tournament with a 311 total.
Busick, a native of DePere, Wisconsin, followed a 77 at the final round of the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic with the same over-par result to earn his first career top-ten finish. Dubuque's Alex Staver was atop the leaderboard with a two-over 74 to take medalist honors.
Sophomore
AJ Gray made his season debut and carded an 11-over-par 83 to place the former Milton HS athlete in a tie for 24th. One shot behind Gray was
Jake Rebholz, whose 84 (+12) resulted in a tie for 32nd overall. The Verona, Wisconsin, product has produced five rounds between 80 and 86 so far this season. Madison College also counted an 87 (+15) from
Kaleb Lycke, who was tied for 43rd. The final WolfPack score was a 91 (+19) by
Matt Paulson.

Madison College will host its only home tournament of the fall schedule with the Texas Roadhouse Madison College Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 10-11 at
Cherokee Country Club. Round one will begin at noon, while round two will get started at 9:00 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
