JOLIET, ILL. - The Madison College women's volleyball team is making some serious noise in the North Central Community College Conference, which at one point featured four teams ranked in the
NJCAA Division III Poll. On Tuesday night, the WolfPack earned their second straight win against one of those programs when they defeated Joliet Junior College (receiving votes) by a 3-1 final five days after upsetting then #3-ranked Harper College. The host Wolves needed extra points to win the opening set 24-26, however, Madison College rallied to win the next three by scores of 25-11, 25-16, and 26-24. The 'Pack has won six of its last eight matches and boast a .500 record for the first time this season. It was also the 19th straight match win over Joliet Junior College (12-8, 1-3) and pushes the all-time series count to 24-2.
Madison College registered double-digit kills in all four sets and finished with an attack percentage of .199. They tallied 50 kills on 47 assists, 12 aces, six blocks, and 133 digs - their highest total in a four-set match this fall.
