GLEN ERIN, ILL. - The North Central Community College Conference season did not start as the Madison College women's volleyball team had planned, falling 3-1 at the College of DuPage on Tuesday night. The WolfPack recovered from a 25-16 loss in set one to even the match with a 25-23 victory in the second set. However, the host Chaparrals responded with back-to-back set victories by scores of 25-23 and 25-18 to claim the match in the league opener for both teams. The loss is the second straight against COD, who has won three of the last four meetings, while the 'Pack still boasts a 29-9 lead in the all-time series.
Madison College registered a .056 hitting percentage for the match, with the College of DuPage (8-4, 1-0) hitting at a .152 clip. The home team also bested the WolfPack in kills by a 43-26 margin, and owned a 10-2 edge in service aces.
Second year outside hitter
Jadyn Holman paced the 'Pack with eight kills and 3.5 blocks. The native of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, also registered one of the team's two aces.Â

Amelia Walton also reached double-digits in digs with a dozen.

Madison College (1-5, 0-1) continues a busy week with a trip to play the Lakeland University JV on Thursday, September 9. The match will mark the seventh out of 13 consecutive to start the season away from home for the WolfPack. First serve in Plymouth, Wisconsin, is at 7:00 p.m.
