ONALASKA, WISC. - The final tournament of the fall season did not go as planned for the Madison College golf team in taking fifth place at the Viterbo V-Hawk invitational at
La Crosse Country Club on Monday and Tuesday. The WolfPack posted a 691 two-day total to sit 16 strokes back of fourth place Viterbo University (B) and 96 shots behind tournament winner Kirkwood Community College (IA) at 595.
Freshman
Ben Busick was the top finisher for the 'Pack with a two-day total of 170 (+26) to place 22nd overall. The De Pere, Wisconsin, native carded an eight-over 80 on day one, but struggled to a 90 (+18). Kirkwood's Kolby Shackleford was the tournament medalist with a three-under-par 141.
Madison College had two players tie for 23rd overall as freshmen
Kaleb Lycke and
Jake Rebholz posted 172 (+28) totals. Lycke, who grew up in nearby La Crosse, Wisconsin, shot 14-over 86 on both days, while Rebholz improved from an 87 to an 85. The final WolfPack score came from sophomore
Ryen Ryba with a 177 (+33) to place 28th out of 31 golfers.

PrairieView Golf Course in Bryon, Illinois. The spring schedule will be release in the months to come.
