The #2-seeded and #14-ranked Madison College will play the waiting game, as they don't play until Sunday night and won't know their opponent until World Series action is underway. The WolfPack will face either #7-seed Northeast Community College (NE) or #10-seed Monroe Community College (NY). Including their first game, Madison has a chance to face nine talented baseball teams during the 7-day, double elimination tournament. Of the nine possible opponents, only two of the schools are returning to the World Series from last year (Northern Oklahoma, Monroe), the 2018 World Series champion and runner-up are not among the tournament field, one school is making their first trip to the tournament (Northeast), and four of the teams are unranked. Below is each possible opponent listed by their tournament seed, and with their current ranking in the latest
NJCAA Division II Poll, how they earned their respective berths to the national tournament, NJCAA Division II World Series history, school information, and key contributors on the team, among other things. Refer to this guide throughout the NJCAA Division II World Series for a quick scouting report of future opponents.
