Bloxdorf named Region 4 Defensive POY, five others earn All-Region 4 honors

Trio of Jackson, Marschke, & Novinska named to first team

Postseason awards winners for Region 4 included five Madison College baseball players, including three first team recipients and one defensive player of the year honoree. Sophomore pitchers Noah Marschke and Broden Jackson, along with second year catcher/outfielder Nate Novinska were named First Team All-Region 4, while fellow sophomores Sam Moses and Quinn Falish each received second team accolades. Second year shortstop Beau Bloxdorf earned Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year recognition, and was joined on the Region 4 Rawlings Gold Glove Team by Moses. This year's collection of honorees boosts the WolfPack all-time count of all-region recipients to 128, including three DPOY winners in the last six years.

"This group is as well deserving of these honors as any we've have before. Their ability to produced on a daily basis provided stability for this team and was a major reason for our overall success. It also speaks to their hardword and dedication to the program's process," stated head coach Mike Davenport.

Marschke becomes a two-time all-region selection after also earning first team accolades as a freshman in 2025. The lefthander from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, made 12 appearances and 11 starts for the WolfPack in 2026, amassing a 7-0 record and a 3.32 earned run average. Marschke racked up 76 strikeouts, marking the 18th highest total in a single season in team history, while yielding just 22 earned runs and 26 walks over 59.2 innings. He also limited opposing hitters to a .206 batting average. Three times in 2026 he walked off the mound with double-digit strikeouts, including a season-high 13 against Rock Valley College on April 3. Marschke will leave Madison College ranking second all-time in wins with a 15-1 record, third in career strikeouts at 165, and eighth in total innings pitched with 126.1. 

Novinska, a native of Verona, Wisconsin, led the WolfPack in most offensive categories this past spring. Over 56 games, his .358 batting average was third on the team, while he was tops with 67 hits and 62 runs, ranking him with the 22nd and fifth best seasons in those categories, respectively. Novinska was also atop the leaderboard in extra base hits with 27 total, including eight home runs, 15 doubles, and four triples. He tied for second on the team with 53 runs batted in and a dozen stolen bases. During the year, Novinska produced four games with three hits, three outings with three runs scored, and two contests with four RBI. Defensively, he recorded 374 put outs and 27 assists, committing just two errors for a .995 fielding percentage as he split time behind the plate and in centerfield. Novinska also earned enough votes to receive a NJCAA All-American nomination. He will exit Madison College tied for third in career runs batted in with 101, sixth in all-time runs scored at 106, tied for 17th in hits with 119, tied for eight in career home runs at 16, tied for ninth in all-time triples with six, and tied for 11th with 25 career doubles.

Jackson was the leading vote-getter among pitchers in Region 4, earning a NJCAA All-American nomination after the Janesville, Wisconsin, native, led the region with a 2.65 earned run average and was second with 79 strikeouts, which ranks tied for the 14th best single-season mark in team history. The righthander appeared in 12 games and made 11 starts en route to a 7-1 record, while also holding teams to 20 earned runs and a .216 opponent batting average with just 18 walks issued. Jackson topped the Pack with 68.0 innings pitched, which is the 13th most in a season in program history. Two of his best outings in 2026 came against the two teams who played for the national championship in Oklahoma as he struck out nine batters against South Mountain Community College in Arizona on March 18 and duplicated that in the NJCAA Division II World Series quarterfinals against Pearl River Community College on May 26. Jackson currently ranks tied for 21st all-time with 95 strikeouts at Madison College.

Falish, a native of DePere, Wisconsin, transitioned from pitcher to position player in 2026 and flourished. The outfielder led Madison College with a .364 batting average and 54 runs batted in, the latter of which ranks tied for the 13th best single-season total in program history. Falish amassed 52 hits, including seven home runs and nine doubles, to go along with 44 runs and 11 stolen bases. He produced some big individual games, with two four-hit performances, one of which was a 4 for 4 effort that generated five runs scored and four runs batted in on April 24 against Sauk Valley Community College. He drove in six runs against Bryant & Stratton College on May 16. In the field, he posted a .930 fielding percentage with five errors, 64 put outs, and two assists.

Moses was recognized for his work with his bat and his glove as the Cedarburg, Wisconsin, native, batted .357 and was second on the team with 61 hits. He tallied 50 runs scored and 47 runs batted in, while also accumulating 24 extra base hits with five home runs, four triples, and 15 doubles to tie for the team lead. He posted season-highs of four hits on two occasions, scored four runs against SVCC on April 24, and produced five RBI on March 14 against Williston State College. Moses played several positions throughout the season before eventually becoming the team's everyday first baseman down the stretch, and throughout it all, did not commit a single error all season for a 1.000 fielding percentage. He was credited with 244 put outs and 11 assists.

Bloxdorf joins former WolfPack standouts Will Johannes and Jake Nelson in earning the Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year honor. The everyday shortstop for the WolfPack posted a .964 fielding percentage with six errors on the season, to go along with 54 put outs and 107 assists. Bloxdorf, a native of Franksville, Wisconsin, helped turn 21 double plays throughout the season. While recognized for his play with the glove and arm, Bloxdorf proved more than capable with his bat, owning a .301 average with 43 hits, 39 runs scored, 33 runs batted in, and nine extra base hits, including his only career home run on May 1 against Harper College.

Davenport was also recognized by Region 4 as he received his 14th Region 4 Coach of the Year award since coming to Madison College, giving him 18 region COY honors all-time with the WolfPack.
