The #5-seed Madison College women's soccer team fell, 2-0, to #4-seed Delta College from University Center, Michigan, in their first national tournament game in program history. The loss means the WolfPack will play #8-seed Nassau Community College from Garden City, New York, in the 9:00 a.m. CT consolation bracket semifinal game tomorrow.

On a cold, windy day, in Dryden, New York, the WolfPack, who were against the wind in the first half, fell behind in the 20'. Delta College's Skylar Eckert scored on an assist by Taylor Farrand. The WolfPack managed just one shot on goal in the first half, while the Pioneers had six shots. Madison College goalkeeper Brandie Gospodarek made five saves.

In the second half the WolfPack were able to put more shots on goal, outshooting the Pioneers 7-5, but one of the Pioneers' shots found the back of the net in the 62'. Delta College's Taylor Farrand's goal put the game out of reach.

Gospodarek finished the game with seven saves and Erin True was credited with a team-high two shots on goal.

With the loss, the WolfPack play the #8-seeded Nassau Community College Lions at 10:00 a.m. Nassau fell in the opening game of the tournament to #1-seed Herkimer College, 4-2. Tomorrow's weather forecasts put the game time temperature at just 20 degrees with 20 mph wind gusts expected. If the WolfPack win, they would play the fifth place game at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 12. A loss would bring their historic season to a close.
