Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

FOUR-PEAT: #1 WolfPack volleyball claims N4C title in sweep

For the fourth consecutive season, the Madison College women's volleyball team sits atop the standings as champions of the North Central Community College Conference (N4C) after a three-set sweep of Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois on Tuesday, October 25. The WolfPack finish league play with an impressive 11-1 record and will be at least a game clear of the second-place Golden Eagles.

Andrea Bauer was the lone player with double-figure kills in the match with 11, puttting the Mukwonago-native over 200 kills for the season (209). Allie Lehner was second with nine and TeAnn Harms finished with eight. As a team, the WolfPack hit .226 for the match. Brianne Brueggen registered 30 assists for her 11th match of the season with 30 or more. Abby Loken (3) and Taylor Genthe (2) combined for five service aces. Lehner led the frontline defensively with four blocks, pushing the former Hartford Union-product past 100 for the year at 101. Genthe and Harms each had two blocks, as well, while Stevie Winer (19), Bauer (14), and Brueggen (10) all reached double-digit digs.

The nation's top-ranked team in NJCAA Division III and the two-time defending national champions, Madison College now boasts a 21-match win streak, the last six of which have come in sweeps. The WolfPack have won 21 consecutive sets dating back to September 29.

Madison College has two non-conference matches remaining before postseason play begins and both are at home. The WolfPack welcome McHenry County College to Redsten Gym in Madison on Thursday, October 22 for MAISL Team Night. First serve is at 6:00 p.m.
