Box Score A solid season for the Madison College softball team has come to an end. Saturday, playing for a chance at advancing to the NJCAA Region IV championship game, the WolfPack fell at the hands of the College of DuPage, losing 4-1.
Unfortunately, the Chaparrals were able to score all of their runs, and in turn the victory, in the first inning. A single, a ground out and a triple resulted in College of DuPage being up 4-0 after the first frame.
The lone Madison College run was scored in the fifth inning. A fielder's choice off the bat of
Megan Hanke brought in
Bridget Jost.
Jost (8-6) was charged with the loss. She pitched all six innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs.
The WolfPack closes their season with a 22-23 overall record, including eight wins in conference play.
