Box Score The Madison College softball team can leave the Skyway Challenge Tournament feeling good about itself. Sunday, the WolfPack had a great outing against Carl Sandburg College, blanking the Chargers 4-0 in a short four-inning affair.

Like they did against Prairie State College the day before, the 'Pack started off strong in the first inning. Madison College picked up three runs in the opening frame against Carl Sandburg.

Two doubles and a single accounted for the scoring in the first for the WolfPack. Paige Giese's double to center scored Andrea Lawrence, while a Bridget Jost double two batters later brought in Giese. Julie Austin capped off the scoring in the first for Madison College with a single to center to bring in Jost.

The WolfPack would add just one more run after their strong first inning. Giese's second double of the game, which came in the second inning, allowed Kasey Gutzmer to touch home. 

Bridget Jost (4-4) got credit for the 4-0 victory. Jost threw all four innings, giving up just one hit to the Chargers.
