Still unbeaten at home, 'Pack volleyball defeats Triton

They may not still hold an unblemished overall mark, losing two matches in last weekend's Rochester CTC Invitational, but the #2 WolfPack volleyball team is still perfect at home. Madison College completed a three set sweep of Triton College at H. Douglas Redsten gymnasium Tuesday evening, winning 25-9, 25-13 and 25-9.

Offensively, Elizabeth Mahsem and Mikayla Nigl led the way with nine kills apiece, while Sydney Clarson finished with five service aces. Defensively, the WolfPack was led by Courtney Frank's five digs. Melinda Statz paced the 'Pack with 12 assists.

Madison College (10-2, 4-0) now hits the road for six straight matches before returning home Tuesday, Sept. 24 to face College of DuPage. During the team's longest stretch away from home, head coach Toby Parker would "love to settle into a lineup." "I think for the girl's sake, I think they're ready to settle into something as well, it's just we haven't quite hit it."

The good news is the depth of talent with the WolfPack remains. "The practice yesterday, again, just a very subtle reminder that, 'Hey coach, if they're not ready to do it then I'm in.'"
