WolfPack Men’s Basketball Falls To Triton

Box Score The WolfPack men's basketball team was no match for the visiting Triton College Trojans as they soundly defeated the WolfPack 91 to 57 in Madison on Saturday afternoon. The 34 point conference loss gave Triton a season sweep over the WolfPack, and the 'Pack fell to 4-19 overall and 1-6 in the N4C
.
Despite being held scoreless for over the first six minutes, the WolfPack were able to head into halftime only down by seven points to the visiting Trojans. The WolfPack was able to shoot 31 percent from the field to the Trojans 37.5 percent to hang around in the opening frame before Triton let lose in the second half. The visitors outscored the 'Pack by 27 in the pivotal second half  behind 57.6 percent shooting from the field for the 91-57 win. Besides shooting better from the field in the game (47.7% to 34.8%), Triton outscored the WolfPack by 21 from beyond the arc, and scored 27 points off of turnovers to Madison College's seven points.

Brandon Holz led the team on the offensive end with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting. He also knocked down two three-point shots on four attempts and hauled down five rebounds. Jason Miller also reached double figures in points with 12, while Charlie Grafft joined Holz and Miller with 11 points. Grafft also tied for the team lead in rebounds with Ryan Plaice (7), and Plaice also pitched in a team-high four assists.

Next up for the men's basketball team is another conference home game on Monday, February 4 in Madison, WI. The home game starts at 7:30 PM.
