After four seasons leading the Madison College men's basketball program,
Jason Roscoe has announced he is stepping away from his position. Roscoe began his tenure with the WolfPack ahead of the 2022-23 season and became the 11th head coach in team history. He also served as an academic advisor during his time at Madison College.
Under Roscoe's leadership, the WolfPack were 64-49 with a .566 winning percentage, placing Roscoe fourth in program history for wins and fifth in win percentage. Madison College posted a 16-14 record in his debut season, reaching the Region 4 Division III Championship game. After making the jump to NJCAA Division II in 2023-24, he led the WolfPack to three more Region 4 Tournament appearances, including reaching the semifinals to cap a 19-10 season in 2024-25. That team climbed as high as #16 in the NJCAA Division II Poll, marking the first national ranking for the WolfPack in over a decade. The 2025-26 campaign opened with a program-record 9-0 start, saw the WolfPack ranked as high as #10 nationally, and finished with the team's first 20-win season since 2016-17.
Statement from
Jason Roscoe:
First and foremost, I want to thank God for His guidance, grace, and blessings throughout my coaching journey.
To every player I have had the privilege of coaching at Madison College, past and present, thank you. Thank you for your commitment, trust, sacrifice, and relentless work ethic. Thank you for believing in our vision and investing yourselves in the process. The relationships we built and the memories we created will remain with me forever.
I am also grateful for my assistant coaches, managers, staff members, administrators, and colleagues who have supported our program throughout the years. Your dedication and commitment played a vital role in our success and created friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
To the parents and families of our players, thank you for the trust you placed in me and our program. It was a responsibility I never took lightly, and I am deeply grateful for your support.
Most importantly, I want to thank my family. Their sacrifices, patience, love, and encouragement allowed me to pursue my passion and live out my dream of coaching. I could not have done this without them, and I will be forever grateful for their support.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredible chapter of my life.
May God continue to bless this program and all those who are part of it.
Go WolfPack!
