After a close loss to Harper College in their first conference game of the season earlier this week, Madison College got on the board in N4C play with a dominating three set victory over the College of DuPage Chaparrals. The 'Pack won the first two games 25-18 in Glen Ellyn, IL before earning the match victory in the final set, 25-22.
Freshmen
Payton Klein and
Kayla Voorhees both recorded 10 kills, while
Terissa Bierd finished right behind the duo with nine of her own. Voorhees picked up her 10 kills in 17 attacks. With only two errors, she finished with a .471 attack percentage. She also picked up two assists, three digs, and a block assist. Beside the nine kills, Bierd pitched in 12 digs, two block assists, and an assist.
Alexis Semrow led the team with 20 assists and
Vanessa Clarson added a team high 22 digs in the conference win.
The WolfPack get back to the court next month with a September 4th match against the Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers. The conference game in Milwaukee, WI starts at 7:00 PM.
