Softball Loses Two on the Road

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Madison College softball team couldn't get in the win column as the Waubonsee Community College Chiefs came from behind for the 3-2 win in the first game of a doubleheader in Sugar Gove, IL. The WolfPack again had a 6-5 lead after four innings in game two, before Waubonsee added five runs in the next two innings for the 10-6 win.

Starting pitcher Marissa Shaner pitched a gem through the first six innings as she scattered four hits and allowed one run to go along with seven strikeouts, but then the trouble began. Waubonsee led off the seventh inning with back-to-back walks, runners that would eventually score, before the game ended walk-off style for the Chiefs on a clutch, two RBI single.
