Box Score The WolfPack lost their first game in the Jack Howell Classic on Thursday to NJCAA Division I Pima Community College, 5-3, in Tucson, AZ.

Madison College never led in the game as they fell behind early as Pima scored one run in the first inning.  The scored stayed 1-0 until the WolfPack got on the board in the fourth inning with one run.  Pima answered with one run in the bottom of the fourth and three runs in the bottom of the fith.  The WolfPack mounted a comeback in the sixth, scoring two runs on two hits but that was as close as they got, losing 5-3.

Shane Adler received the loss as he gave up four earned runs on five hits.  Dylan Acker pitched an inning and two-thirds in relief giving up just one hit and striking one batter. 

Leftfielder Vincent Schmitz went 2-for-3 and had the WolfPack's only RBIs with three. Six other WolfPack teammates had one hit in the WolfPack loss.  Madison College plays Williston State College at 4:00 PM today.
