Box Score The WolfPack Softball team got a much needed win when
Courtney Ullmer hit a one out single to center field in the bottom of the seventh to push Madison College to a 3-2 win over Anoka-Ramsey, in the second game of the Arizona spring trip.
The WolfPack received runs in the third, fifth and seventh innings. First year righthander,
Marissa Shaner, held the Rams to just two earned runs while striking out eight batters in seven innings of work. Anoka-Ramsey's only runs came in the sixth inning but the WolfPack behind Ullmer's go-ahead bases loaded single were able to scratch out the win.
Former Poynette H.S. athlete,
Brittany Kaltenberg, had a career day going 3-for-3 and stealing three bases while leading off for the WolfPack. Teammate
Madison Milsap went 2-for-4 and
Heather Edgren and
Kassandra Kluge each went 2-for-3.
Amber Clifcorn also posted two RBIs as the WolfPack behind solid pitching, defense and eleven hits earned their first win of the season.
Madison College Softball will be in action tomorrow facing Anoka-Ramsey again at 11:00 AM followed by Lakeland College JV at 1:30 PM.
