Box Score The Madison College Men's Basketball team played tough against the #10 nationally ranked Rochester Yellowjackets. The WolfPack led by one point at halftime but fell behind midway through the second half. The WolfPack rallied over the final few mintues but fell short 82-75.
The WolfPack started with a fury, jumping out to a 9-0 lead. Madison College led by as many as 12 points but Rochester went on a 15-4 run to close out the first half, pulling to within one point. In the second half, Rochester started to get to the basket and pushed to the lead to 19 points. The WolfPack were also hurt by foul trouble to
Jason Miller. Trailing by 19 points with 3:55 left, the WolfPack went on a 15-3 run to close the game including three 3-pointers. In the end, Madison College fell 82-75 to the visiting Yellowjackets.
Dominic Fumbanks and
Lucas Baier combined for 46 WolfPack points as each scored 23 points. Fumbanks was 9-for-13 from the field including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc while teammate Baier was 8-for-11 going 5-for-7 from 3-point land.
Alex Wuensch added 12 points and five rebounds and first year forward
Charlie Grafft had eight points and eight rebounds.
Jason Miller played just 16 minutes due to foul trouble and finished with just on field goal before fouling out.
The WolfPack Men also have a quick turnaround as they host the Wisconsin Technical College Caveliers at home on Friday night at 7:30 PM. Madison College is now 1-9 overall.
