Men's Basketball Tripped Up at Home

Box Score In their first home game of the 2012-13 campaign, the Madison College men's basketball team was overpowered by the NJCAA DI Sauk Valley Community College Skyhawks, 74-61. Madison College played the visitors tough in the first half to go into the break all knotted up at 31, before Sauk Valley ruined the homecoming of sorts with a strong second half behind 55.2 percent shooting from the field.
 
Sheldon Cooks paced the home WolfPack with 18 points on six of nine shooting from the field, while making six of his seven free throws. Jason Miller didn't finish far behind Cooks as he added 16 points, and Alex Wuensch also reached double digits with 10 points. Wuensch also tied for the team lead with five assists as well as leading the team with two steals. Fellow guard Lucas Baier was the other member of the 'Pack that recorded five assists.
 
The 0-5 men's basketball team has plenty of time to regroup after a rough start, as they don't hit the court until November 30. The Friday, November 30 Parent's Night game starts at 7:30 PM against the Olive-Harvey College Purple Panthers.
