The Madison College baseball team started off their regular season finale series by being shutout, before rebounding to take their last game 4-3 over the South Suburban College Bulldogs in Cicero, IL on Mother's Day.

Game one was a good ole fashioned pitcher's duel as the WolfPack starter Parker Schrage and the South Suburban starter tossed scoreless inning after scoreless inning, before the Bulldogs struck first with a solo run in the bottom of the fifth. The Wolfack threatened in the sixth inning when Andrew Wasmund led of the frame with a single and James Furlano followed with a hit of his own, but the visiting team couldn't get on the board. The South Suburban starter again shutdown the 'Pack in the seventh as he picked up the 1-0 shutout win, and Parker Schrage was saddled with the loss after tossing six solid innings. He also fanned three in the loss.

In the last regular season game, Madison College finished off their season as they started it by fighting for the 4-3 win over an NJCAA DI school. Madison College struck first with a run in the opening inning before the Bulldogs tied up the game with solo run off of starter Kyle Coenen. Once again, the two starters went back and forth tossing scoreless innings before South Suburban pulled ahead with a run in the fifth. Coenen was tagged with the run after reliever Mitch Arens took over with one out in the fifth to limit the damage. Down 2-1 heading into the sixth inning, the WolfPack jumped on top with two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to go up 4-2. Furlano and Landon Tenhagen provided the fireworks in the two run sixth on a RBI single and RBI double, and Garrett Novinski's unearned run in the seventh proved to be the difference in the ballgame. Arens surrendered a run in the Bulldogs final at bats but held on for the 4-3 win to improve to 3-1 on the year.

The WolfPack hosts NJCAA Region IV play-in games this Friday and Saturday at Robin Roberts Field in Madison to start their second season. Details of the post-season games for the 36-13 WolfPack will be available shortly. Please check the baseball schedule portion of the website for weekend details.
