Road Woes Continue for WolfPack

The Madison College WolfPack softball team was swept on Tuesday night in Palatine, IL, by North Central Community College Conference (N4C) opponent, Harper College, 8-3 and 14-10.

Madison actually outhit the Hawks nine to eight in game one, but six errors proved to be too costly. Tied at two after one inning, Harper turned it on in the middle innings. The Hawks got two runs in the third, and another four in the fourth. Kassandra Kluge and Amber Clifcorn led the 'Pack offensively each tallying two hits and an RBI. Clifcorn also tallied two doubles in the outing.

In game two, the WolfPack struggled. Harper registered 17 hits, which led to 14 runs. Despite the defensive holes, Madison College showed some offensive prowess. The WolfPack managed ten runs on seven hits. Athena Brabant went 3-for-3 at the dish and posted two RBIs.

The WolfPack (1-15, 0-6) have now dropped nine straight games since their win back on March 14 in Arizona. Hopefully, home really is where the heart is. Madison College will play their home opener Friday, April 8th when they host the College of DuPage in a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
