The WolfPack baseball team kept on winning as they beat the McHenry Community College Scots 13-3 in the opener of a doubleheader before being blanked by the visiting team 5-0. The WolfPack had won eight straight and picked up their ninth straight victory in game one before being shutout by the Scots in game two.

The Madison College baseball team jumped out to a 5-0 lead in game one after plating four runs in the first and one in the second until McHenry got on the board with two runs off of WolfPack starter Kyle Coenen. After a scoreless third for the 'Pack, Madison continued the offensive barrage with three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth, and McHenry added a run of their own in the top of the sixth to make the game 9-3 in the WolfPack's favor. Madison College added four more insurance runs in the bottom of sixth as they walked away with the 13-3 win.

Tanner Vavra and James Furlano led the team with three hits, and Treysen Vavra and Andrew Wasmund added two. Tanner Vavra finished 3-for-5 at the plate, including a triple, with two RBI, two runs, and a stolen base; while Furlano went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI. Treysen Vavra led the team with three RBI in his 2-for-4 game, and both of his hits were doubles. Like Treysen Vavra, Wasmund finished 2-for-4, with two doubles. He also added two RBI, two runs scored, and a stolen base. The WolfPack finished with 14 hits in 31 at bats and racked up five doubles and a triple. They also drove in 11 of their 13 runs to go with five stolen bases.

Starter Kyle Coenen picked up the victory in game one after tossing four solid innings. He gave up two runs, one earned, and struckout two. Andy Stochl replaced Coenen for the final two innings and he held the 13-3 victory intact for the WolfPack.

Game two started of completely different for the WolfPack as McHenry got on the board with a first inning run. The first inning score by the Scots proved to be all they would need in walking away with the 5-0 win. From that point, the McHenry starter silenced Madison's bats to the tune of three hits in seven innings. Eric DuCharme picked up two of the WolfPack hits as he finished 2-for-3. Starter Jake Peterson was tagged with the loss.

Next up for the 28-9 WolfPack is a conference doubleheader with the College of DuPage Chaparrals in Glen Ellyn, IL. The first game of the doubleheader starts at 1:00 PM. The WolfPack are 9-1 in N4C conference play and half not lost a conference game since dropping their conference opener to Harper College.
