The Joliet Junior College Lady Wolves took down the Madison College softball team in a road doubleheader in Joliet, IL 14-6 and 22-1. The WolfPack opened the conference season with two losses and are not 1-11 overall and 0-2 in the North Central Community College Conference (N4C).
Kassandra Kluge started and picked up the game one loss in the 14-6, and Amber Clifcorn started the last game of the doubleheader and was tagged with the loss in the 22-1 blowout.
Jessica Spern led the WolfPack in game one by going 1-for-2 with three RBI on her fourth inning double. Kate Jonas, Amanda Helgesen, and Gabrielle Komprood all went 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI.
Tena Funmaker led the Madison College offense in game two and was the only player to register at least two hits as the Joliet pitching silenced the WolfPack bats and limited them to five hits. Funmaker went 2-for-2 and added the teams lone RBI.
Next up for the WolfPack softball team is another road doubleheader against Triton College in River Grove, IL.
