The Madison College softball team has picked up their first victory of the season. Taking on Anoka-Ramsey Community College Golden Rams on Monday, the WolfPack grabbed a 15-11 victory.
The WolfPack exploded for seven runs in the top of the first inning, and never looked back.
Kaley Dorshorst lead the team with five hits, scored twice, and drove in two runs, and
Heather Hornback added three RBI while going 3-for-5. She also scored two runs.
Amber Clifcorn also excelled at the plate and went 4-for-5 with two doubles. She drove in one run and scored twice. When it was all said and done, Madison had tallied 21 hits.
Kassandra Kluge picked up the complete game victory on the mound for the WolfPack, striking out seven batters to improve to 1-2.
Tomorrow, Madison College (1-4) will get a day off prior to matching up with the Lakeland College JV and Anoka-Ramsey.
