The Madison College men's basketball team committed 23 turnovers against the full court press of the Triton College Trojans. Those 23 turnovers were converted into 33 Trojan points in Triton College's 85-74 win over the WolfPack.
Madison College trailed by 10 points at half and were within a couple points under six minutes to go but a huge run by the visiting Tritons put the WolfPack away. The Trojans had a 33-8 advantage in points off turnovers and capitalized on 41 points from their bench.
Aaron Jones had another big night pouring in 24 points on 9-for-18 shooting while teammate
Corey Yahnke added 22 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the field and 8-for-9 shooting from the free throw line. Despite shooting almost 52% from the field and the WolfPack's turnovers proved too much to overcome against the strong and quick NJCAA Division II Trion College team.
The WolfPack fall to 4-4 in conference play and 10-11 overall. Next up for Madison College is another tough test against Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, IL on February 1.
