April Testman had 12 kills and four blocks against the Chaparrals.
Madison College made their second trip to Glen Ellyn, Ill. within a week and made the most of it. Just days after facing the Chaparrals and five other schools in the College of DuPage Classic, the WolfPack and the Chaparals battled again in Illinois. After winning the previous meeting in two sets, the WolfPack took down the Chaparrals in three-straight sets this time around 25-19, 25-22, 25-12.
With the win, the WolfPack improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They are yet to lose to a Division III opponent as both of their losses came at the hands of Division II foes Highland Community College and Moraine Valley Community College.
The victory over the Chaparrals was led by the season-high 21 assists put up by first-year setter
Kirsten Halma. The offense was rounded out from the efforts of
April Testman and
Ashley Biesterveld, who posted 12 kills apiece.
Testman was also active defensively as she racked up another four blocks. It was the fifth time in eight matches this season that she posted at least four blocks in a match.
Hannah Schwartzer also pitched in for the WolfPack with eight digs.
Next up for the WolfPack is Harper College, another team that they faced and defeated in the College of DuPage Classic. The two teams meet in Palatine, Ill. at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 7.
