The WolfPack softball team was ready for Rock Valley College in the second game of a doubleheader in Rockford on April 30. Madison College used a nine-run second inning to beat the #8 nationally ranked Golden Eagles 12-3.

The WolfPack struggled to get on base in the first game of the doubleheader against Rock Valley's best pitcher and lost 6-0. In the second game, the WolfPack got more than enough run support to knock off the Golden Eagles on their home field. The nine runs in an inning and the 13 runs in the game were both season-highs for Madison College.

Kendra Mussehl was a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate and drove in three runs. Haeli Kruse was also perfect from the plate going 2-for-2 with a triple. Jenna Brown contributed to the offensive explosion by going 3-for-4 from the plate with a double and two RBIs.

Jami Ryan started the game lasting 4.1 innings and allowing just one earned run. Keriann Schmidt was brought in to close out the game and in 0.2 innings of work she picked up the save.

The WolfPack begin the postseason on May 4 at 1:00 p.m. in Palatine, IL and are coming off their biggest win of the year. They will play a best-of-three series against the Harper College Hawks in the Region IV Play-in Game. The WolfPack were 2-1-1 against Harper this year.
