The WolfPack held the #8 nationally ranked Golden Eagles scoreless for the game's first five innings and had a 4-1 lead entering the bottom of the seventh inning.
It was in the bottom of the seventh inning where Rock Valley College rallied to score three runs and forced the game into extra innings. The top-seeded Golden Eagles weren't ready to be knocked off early in the Region IV Tournament by the WolfPack, who beat them 13-1 just a week earlier.
In the top of the eighth inning the WolfPack were held scoreless and Rock Valley scored the one run they needed for the win in the bottom of the eighth. Madison College was outscored 5-0 during the final three innings.
