WolfPack Softball Season Comes to an End

The Chaparrals were too much for Heather Hornback and the WolfPack in their final game of the season.
The WolfPack fell in their second game of the Region IV Tournament after an 11-3 loss to College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL on May 7. Their season came to an end after getting knocked out of the region tournament.

Both teams got on the board early and the game was tied 2-2 after one inning. Madison College was down 4-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning and the game was up for grabs until the Chaparrals put up six runs. The WolfPack weren't able to recover from the big inning and fell to the Chaparrals for the third time this season.

Heather Hornback and Jenna Brown both doubled for the WolfPack with Brown driving in a run. Carly Meisel also contributed by going 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Mary Hershberger, Jami Ryan and Keriann Schmidt all made appearances at the mound for the WolfPack in their final game of the season.

Despite some early season struggles, the WolfPack really came together and had soem momentum heading into the postseason. They won four of their last six games - including a win over the #8 ranked team in the country - before starting play in the Region IV Tournament. They ran into a couple of tough teams in the region tournament and came up short of making a national tournament appearance.
