Cody Griebling kept the game close for the WolfPack against Triton College and gave up zero earned runs.

The WolfPack were held to just four runs by Triton College in two one-run games, both of which resulted in losses for Madison College, 4-3 and 2-1. The doubleheader wrapped up the regular season for the WolfPack, who finished the regular season with a record of 38-12.
It was just the second time this season that the WolfPack lost both games of a doubleheader and the second time in the span of a week.

Cody Griebling# gave the WolfPack his usual performance, a quality start. He gave up no earned runs and struck out four batters through 6.2 innings of work.
Despite the solid start from the pitching staff, the WolfPack found themselves knotted in a 3-3 tie through seven innings of play. As a team, they struggled form the plate. Only #
Kyle Van Abel# and #
Brent Kakwitch# were able to get hits off of the Trojan pitchers.
They each had two hits.
Kakwitch hit a home run, his 10th of the year, and
Van Abel had a double.
The five errors committed in the game are what did the WolfPack in. The game stayed tied 3-3 heading into the bottom of the ninth.
After Triton College got a lead off single, the base runner advanced to third on a WolfPack error. The game-winning run was then scored on a passed ball.
In the second game the WolfPack got a few more hits - six for the game - but were only able to put up one run in the 2-1 loss.
They got another solid pitching performance from #
Tyler Jones#, but were not able to get enough runs on the board for the win.
Jones threw all six innings and struck out four batters. He gave up just four hits and two earned runs in his first loss of the season.
The WolfPack look to get the bats going again as they prepare to host the Region IV Sectional Tournament on May 14-16.
