The WolfPack lost both games to Kishwaukee College in Madison on April 18. The Kougars had a big inning in each game that proved to be the difference maker in both games. They scored five runs in one inning in the first game and eight runs in an inning in the second game.
It was 5-1 in the top of the sixth inning of the first game when the Kougars poured on five runs to extend their lead to nine runs late in the game.
The WolfPack made a move to get back into the game with a
Jenna Brown RBI single in the sixth inning.
Jami Ryan kept the ball rolling with an RBI double of her own, cutting the lead to seven. But the inning and the momentum ended with back-to-back strikeouts and the WolfPack fell in the first game.
Mary Hershberger lasted all seven innings and allowed just three earned runs while striking out four.
Jamie Nolan was 2-for-4 in the game with a triple.
The WolfPack put up a 3-1 lead heading into the fourth inning against the Kougars. The inning was one to forget for the WolfPack. They gave up eight runs on six hits and four errors. Madison College didn't rebound from that inning and lost 12-3.

Jami Ryan closed it out.
Schmidt allowed just three earned runs and struck out three Kougars.
Ryan pitched the final 1.2 innings and gave up one earned run and struck out one batter.
