Andy Stochl threw a no-hitter for the WolfPack in an 11-0 victory over Sauk Valley Community College on April 18. The no-hitter came just one day after
Jack Larsen gave up just one hit in the seventh inning to Milwaukee Area Technical College.
In five innings of work
Stochl struck out three batters and was just one walk away from throwing a perfect game. He picked up his first win of the season (1-0) to go along with his first no-hitter at Madison College.
The WolfPack bats gave
Stochl plenty of support as they scored six runs in the first inning. After a
Garrett Novinski walk,
Brent Kakwitch hit his sixth home run of the season to put the WolfPack on the board.They used three more hits and an error to score four more runs in the inning. Madison College scored five more runs in the next four innings for the 11-0 win in the second game of the doubleheader.
The WolfPack won the first game 12-2 behind a solid start from
Chevy Tollefson. He pitched five innings and got the win, improving his record to 2-1 on the year.
The WolfPack used an eight-run inning in the third to beat Sauk Valley.
Brett Sweger and
Brent Kakwitch both doubled and
Jordan Chardukian got a triple in the game.
Kyle Van Abel chipped in by going 1-for-1 and drove in three runs.
The WolfPack are currently riding a 10-game winning streak heading into their match up against Elgin Community College on April 19.
