WolfPack Fall Behind Early

The Madison College softball team gave up 11 combined runs in the first inning against South Suburban College. They lost both games, 10-8 and 9-0.

After falling behind 6-0 in the first game of the doubleheader, the WolfPack made the game interesting and added two runs in the top of the seventh inning, and came up just two runs shy of tying the game up.

Keriann Schmidt pitched six innings and only gave up two earned runs. The other eight runs scored by South Suburban College were all unearned.

Thresia Elskamp continued to carry a big stick as she went 3-for-4 from the plate with a home run and batted in two runs. Jenna Brown also contributed with two RBIs and a double, while going 2-for-4.

In the second game, the WolfPack gave up five first-inning runs and were never able to get on track. Jenna Brown had the WolfPack's only extra base hit, a double. The team only had two hits in the game.

Mary Hershberger gave up just two earned runs on five hits for the WolfPack. They doomed themselves in by committing seven errors in the 9-0 loss.
